Hey, engine builders, I need some guidance. 120-130 1966

"The clearance ramps on a C cam move at 3 degrees/.001" lifter rise. For every .001" at the lobe that you reduce the clearance (.0015" at the valve), you increase the time spent off the seat by 6 degrees, but because the difference in airflow is only 1/400th difference, you have a nett loss of overall performance & a large loss of time where valve is spent on the seat which is the time that the exhaust valve is cooling."

And with a "D" cam... same situation?
