Hey, engine builders, I need some guidance. 120-130 1966

Well, yes... it's worth 3-4 dB IIRC, which is enough to keep me just below the max allowable sound pressure level (essentially 103 db at 50 feet from edge of track). As a bonus, the few pounds of weight that it adds is in the correct area of the car (low and right rear quadrant). The car obviously has to meet a minimum weight; if it doesn't, you have to add ballast in a specific location. That required location is the RF passenger footwell, which is obviously less than ideal. For the same reasons, I carry a stock steel wheel and 165-15, in the right hand spare tire well. (And I still need 6 gallons of gas at the end of the race to meet min weight.)
