Hey, engine builders, I need some guidance. 120-130 1966

WRT to "D" cam wear, I've been fortunate maybe, but the only problem I've had with one, was a '73 1800ES that had about 70k miles on it at the time one of the lobes went flat.

The CWC billets solved a lot of problems, mostly the narrower lobes & better positioning than the earlier cams. I believe they first appeared in '74. When we use to regrind the older style cores, we'd narrow the lobes to SBC widths & make sure they were offset properly relative to the lifter bores.

Also, the spring pressures I use are around 135lb on the seat with a slightly stiffer rate + being a hell of a lot bigger, the exhaust opens a lot sooner, which means it's opening against extra cylinder pressure on the exhaust.
