Do the math 120-130

I took the HS-6's off (which were suitably rejetted and working quite well) ....... The SU's always seemed to need a half second or so to respond to a sudden throttle opening

SU's that take half a second to respond to a sudden throttle opening ARE VERY BADLY JETTED SU's!
You can't blame them for having a big flat spot because you didn't put the right needles & springs in them.
