Figure torque will roll off a bit at 1800 rpm, but with a peak of nearly 12 kpm that might just make a good genny primemover. Now a matter of finding who could make the cam.
By keeping combustion temps at peaked out, combustion efficiency and heat recovery would be maximized. On a road going engine, power demands would push the motor into detonation, but with a steady state 1800 rpm, mixture could be taken to a fairly fine edge and maintained in closed loop mode.
What do you think of injection to enhance fuel economy? Think there is any gain to be had?
