De-tuning a B18 444-544

I found a 24 PICT layin on a bench in the garage. I think that is a 24 hp VW carbie! I might just try that.

I'm thinking I might dispense with the AC alternator and drag the tired old B-18D out of the wrecked wagon for starters. It hasa brand dnew SWEM alternator bracket and 70 amp Delco alternator. I've got some 6x6 redwood timbers that I may be able to cobble a stand up out of.

Too bad I have to break up my momentum and pick up the pretty nice, free, 65 220 Friday. It seems spreading a little good Karma around does pass back by sometimes. Owner plays the dobro but had to sell his. Never built one of those... sure would like to learn! Looks like a good time!

Is that manifold like the ones they use with the Weber conversions? IF so that shouldn't be hard to find at all, huh?

Cheers, gotta cook supper.

Mike
